"I dream of a "missionary option," that is, a missionary impulse capable of transforming everything so that the Church’s customs, ways of doing things, times and schedules, language and structures can be suitably channeled for the evangelization of today’s world rather than for her self-preservation."

To end the evening, the Convocation will feature an evening of devotion focused on Mary, Star of the New Evangelization, Patroness of the Americas, and a bridge builder who connects all cultural families and communities within the Church. This gathering will feature witness and prayer, dedicating the Convocation to her intercession.

“Mary let herself be guided by the Holy Spirit on a journey of faith toward a destiny of service and fruitfulness. Today we look to her and ask her to help us proclaim the message of salvation to all and to enable new disciples to become evangelizers in turn.” —EG, no. 287
